Repeating an event
Training on the same days every week does not need fifty events typed in by hand. Add the first one, tick Repeat, and Whole Team makes the rest.
Make a series
- Open the team and fill in New event as usual: the kind, the first date and time, the title, the venue.
- Tick Repeat.
- Tick the days of the week it happens on, choose how often (every week, or every 2, 3 or 4 weeks), and give it an end date. A series always has an end date.
- Read the line underneath. It says exactly what will be made, for example "This creates 52 events, Tuesday and Thursday, 22 September 2026 to 19 March 2027". If that is not what you meant, change the days or the date until it is.
- Press Add event.
Every event is made at once and appears on the team's list and the calendar straight away. A series can make up to 200 events; for a longer run, make a second series.
Change one, or all of them
Open any event in the series and press Edit event. The form asks first:
- This event only. The event leaves the series and keeps whatever you set. Nothing else changes. Use this for the week training moves to the other pitch.
- This and every later event in the series. Every later event that still follows the series changes the same way; earlier ones are untouched. Use this when training moves to 7 pm from next week.
An event that has left the series says so on its page, and never rejoins it on its own.
Cancel one, or the rest
On the same page, under Cancel this event:
- Cancel this one cancels that event and leaves the rest of the series as it is. Cancelling a week is two taps: one for Tuesday, one for Thursday.
- Cancel this and all future events stops the series from that event on. Earlier events stay exactly as they were.
A cancelled event stays on record as cancelled; nothing is deleted. Every family on the team is told once, and the notice says when it covers the later sessions too.
School holidays
Whole Team does not guess at term dates. When a week is off, cancel that week's events; it is quicker than any of us checking thirty-two councils' calendars.
