The volunteer rota
A home competition day needs people: marshals, first aid, car park, tea hut, a referee. The rota on the day lists the roles you need and how many of each, and lets adults put their own name down.
Adding roles
If you run the day, open the day and, under Volunteers, add a role and say how many are wanted. There are suggestions — Marshal, First aid, Car park, Tea hut, Referee — or type your own.
Putting your name down
Anyone in the club can add their own name to a role, and take it off any time. You can add someone else only if you run the day, and the rota shows when a name was added by an organiser rather than by the person themselves.
Reminders
A week before the day, and again three days before, the club's adults get one line in their digest naming only the roles still short — never a person, and never a nag.
Only adults
The rota is for adults. A child never appears on it, and cannot be added.
