Your profile: your name and your mobile
Whole Team asks you for two things about yourself, once: your name and your mobile number. Your name is so the people at your club know who they are talking to; your number is so they can reach you if something happens at a session. You are asked for them the first time you sign in, and you can change either of them afterwards on You › Your profile.
Your name
Give your first name and your last name. The club's coaches, team managers and leadership see your full name. Other parents see your first name and your last initial, and so do children — a child's name is shown the same way to everybody who is not their own guardian.
You can correct it at any time. Nothing else changes when you do.
Your mobile number
Your mobile number is used to sign you in by text, and is shown to the club's coaches, team managers and leadership as the person to call if something happens. Nobody else can see it.
We only text you a sign-in code, or the few urgent things your club sends. We never sell it, never share it for advertising, and never pass it to anyone outside your club.
If you would rather not give one, choose Not now. You can use Whole Team without a mobile number: you sign in with a code we email you instead. Two things need one, and the screen says so at the time:
- running a team or a club. A coach, a team manager or anyone in a club's leadership needs a verified number, because they are the people a club has to be able to reach.
- being a club's main contact, which is the person who sets the club up.
"That number is already on another account"
One person is one account, in any number of clubs. If your number is already on a Whole Team account, that account is yours — sign out and sign in with it instead, and it will have all your clubs in it. You do not need a second account to be in a second club.
Who sees what
Every role sees a different slice, and you can read the whole of it: What can I see?
