- Now: who should the coach call?
- Their name, and a number that will be answered
- Tap Save
- They're on your list
Your children are yours to add, and nobody else's. A club can invite you; only a guardian creates a child's record, and it does not exist until you have made it. You add them on You › Your family and profile, under Add a child.
What you are asked for
- Their first name and last name. Other parents and the children see a first name and a last initial — "Alex P". Their full name is for you, the club's coaches and team staff, and the club's safeguarding officer.
- Their birth month and year. Not the day: the month and year are enough to put a child in the right age group under your sport's rules, and a date of birth is more than we need.
- Whether they can appear in team photos. Off unless you say otherwise, for each child separately, and you can change your mind whenever you like — see photos.
Then Add them, and they are on the list. Their coach sees them on the right team; nobody outside the club sees them at all.
The next sheet: who to call
Straight after you add a child, Whole Team asks for who to call if something happens, and for a short note about anything a coach should know. Both are optional and both are yours to take away again — what they are and who sees them is in who to call.
It is asked at this moment rather than buried in a settings screen because the answer matters most on the first day, and the person who knows it is already here.
If two of you are guardians
Add the other guardian from the child's card. You both see the child, you both answer for them, and you both have to agree before anything about them is removed. Neither of you can take the other's access away.
If the club has already added them
A club can create a child's record through an invitation, and the invitation has to be accepted and confirmed by a guardian before anything about that child exists. If your club has a child of yours on a team already, they appear on your family page when you sign in; you do not add them again.
Taking a child's record away
On the child's card, Remove this child. Any other guardian of that child, or the club's safeguarding officer, has thirty days to object — and after that the record is anonymised rather than left lying about. There is more in your data.
