Saying you're in, and seeing who is
Every training session and match asks one question: is your child coming? Answering it takes a tap, and it is the single most useful thing a family does in Whole Team. A coach who knows by Thursday who is coming on Saturday can pick a team, order the right number of shirts and tell nobody they have had a wasted journey.
If you are a parent or guardian
Open the event from your week, or from the digest that arrives once a day, and tap In, Maybe or Out. That is the whole of it. You can change your mind as often as you like until the coach picks the team, and changing it is the same tap.
If you have more than one child at the club, each one is answered separately, because they are often on different teams on the same morning.
You never have to explain an Out. There is no box asking why, and a coach sees only the answer.
If you are a coach or manager
The event shows every player with their answer beside them as the answers come in: In, Maybe, Out, or nothing yet. What to do with them is in seeing who's in, and picking the team.
What happens to the answers
They are kept with the event, so the club can see later that a session was quiet or a match was full. They are not shown to other families: a parent sees their own children's answers and nothing about anybody else's.
