Seeing who's in, and picking the team

Before a match somebody has to decide who plays. Whole Team puts the two things that decision needs on one screen: who said they were coming, and who has played recently.

Who's in

The event lists everybody on the team in three groups: in, out, and not said yet. The last group is the one to work on. A parent who has not answered has usually not seen it rather than decided against it, so a line in the team's thread on a Thursday is worth more than guessing on a Saturday.

See saying you're in, and seeing who is for what the family sees at the other end.

Picking

Choose the players from the ones who said they were in. Anybody who said no is never picked by accident, and anybody who has not answered can still be picked - a coach who knows the family is coming does not need the tap.

The sheet shows how many minutes each child has had in recent weeks, because the fairest team is usually not the strongest one. For the age groups with a half-game rule, the rule is shown against each name rather than left to memory.

After it is picked

Everybody on the team is told, in the app and in the day's digest. A child who is not picked is told that they are a substitute, not that they were dropped - the words matter at that age, and the club does not get to choose them.

You can change the team until the event starts, and each change tells the families affected rather than everyone.
