Fundraisers and campaigns
A campaign is the money for one thing your club is raising for: a tour, a new scrum machine, a race night. You give it a target and a short tag, put your events in it, and every payment for those events carries the tag. Nobody sorts payments by hand; the campaign adds itself up.
Campaigns are run by the club's treasurer and admins, under Money › Fundraising.

Start a campaign
- Choose New campaign.
- Give it a Name, for example "Summer tour 2027".
- Give it a Tag: 2 to 10 letters or numbers, such as TOUR27. Leave it empty and one is made from the name.
- Add a Target (£) if there is one.
- Add Starts and Ends dates if you want them. A tour fund can run until you close it.
- Keep Show it on the club's website ticked for a bar on your website showing what's raised against the target.
- Choose Start the campaign.
The money goes to the club's own bank account, like every payment.
The events
Open the campaign. Under Add an event, choose one of your club's events and Put it in. It can be anything with money attached: a quiz night with a ticket price, a home match day's tea hut, or a tour's days. Everything that event has already taken counts, and so does everything to come. Take out removes one.
The tag
The tag goes on every payment for the campaign's events: the tea hut's sales that day, the ticket price, a tour's instalments, and any refund. It shows:
- in the club's books, in the campaign column of the export,
- in Stripe, on each payment,
- and on the payer's card statement, so they know what it was for.
Raised so far
The list shows what each campaign has raised. Export › downloads just its payments, for whoever is counting. When it's done, Close the campaign: it keeps its payments and comes off the website.
Fundraiser events and Give online
A fundraiser as its own kind of event, with its own till and a Raised so far bar on its page, is on its way. Until it arrives, put a quiz night or a match day into a campaign as above.
Give online comes with it: families give an amount they choose from the app, card only, from £1 to £250 a time. It is off for every club unless the club asks for it. Money that anyone can give, in any amount, at any hour, is what card fraudsters look for, so it starts switched off and comes with limits: a few gifts per person in a few minutes, a cap per fundraiser each hour, and every payment checked by Stripe. If your club wants it, email hello@wholeteam.co.uk.
A tour starts its own campaign; see tours. The full detail is in fundraising campaigns.
